Default 20% more power

Has anyone tried these? I have a friend that told me about these. He says he has friends that swear by them. For both carburated and EFI. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sure it will help some, but no way 20% power gain. Especially, not on a stock bike.

If your looking for 20% more power on a stock bike, your looking at $2500 or more. I don't think a jet and bore job on a carb will give you that.

I agree, I don't think that kind of increase is possible with just carb work.

20% more power? With a carb job? Think of it this way:

Assume a stock motor does maybe 50 honest horses.

Air/fuel in, exhaust/air out = headers

A better fuel mix and burn = cam and valve job (5 angle)

Compression makes power = head work

More compression requires better ignition = single fire, coil

Now, a really well done (exhaust, cam, ignition, heads) scoot can dyno 85 horses (increase of about 40% for an investment of about that $2500 mentioned earlier here).

My FXSTC has and S&S lower end, balanjced, Crane Hi-4 single fire and coil, Andrews EV 27 cam, Jims Big Axle lifters and adjustable pushrods, SE heads at 10:1 ported and polished, a CV carb that has been mosified well and a Yost Power Tube installed, a .20 over bore, Python II headers, and more...on dyno, it hits 92 horses (and stock hit 51)...41 added ponies is almost a double power increase...and a correwsponding vibration increase since the motor is rigid mounted (it's a 94 EVO).

Is it worth three grand? Personal call...but a VTX 1300 smokes this Softy. I love it, but....$$ and gain? I'd rather spend that on a 30 day scooter cross country ride at 50 horses!

A carb job may boost smoothness, but IMHO, ain't no way a 20% increase.
