After almost 50 years....
Since then it's been the Evo, Twin Cam, Mt. Rushmore and since '22, the M8.
I'm about to go over 20k miles, and haven't had any issues. Runs great. Pulls hard.
Today, and for most of the week the temps will be in the 70's. I still look at the weather every day to see if I'm going for a ride to "make my mind right".
I hope the day never comes when I can't ride any more. It's in my blood, and obviously my DNA, because my oldest son rides all the time too.
Merry Christmas everyone. Have a great and safe New Year.
Started with a lawnmower engine cobbled to a homemade chopper frame.
Throttle by right hand directly on carb, brakes by dragging feet.
Two wheels always thrilled.
4 JAP bikes, 4 Moto Guzzi's and now on my 3rd ElectraGlide, I've covered 850,000 miles on two wheels. Hope to may another 150,000 but am experiencing reduced annual mileage because of wife's illnesses, my (newly found) major illness, and still working. After recovering this year from my cancer stuff, I will plan my trip to ride a 6000 mile trip to claim the last states I need to ride in to cover all lower 48.
Then I may just sell the bikes, retire, golf with other vets, and do more charity work.
And then just fade away, alone, not being a burden to anyone.
It was a 40 something white HD with a sidecar. I was mesmerized. Mom said after that I never stopped talking about motorcycles. Got my first for my 15th birthday a Suzuki TS90. Been riding ever since. It is a wonderful addiction. Except I'd have a paid off home if I had not purchased 25 motorcycles over the last 50 years.
Hopefully, all illnesses and aches will fade away, and you can continue to ride.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I started with a Honda 600 cruiser. My wife and I started riding together. Her crazy idea actually. She had to have a Harley, so we financed hers. I needed one right away of course, so mine was half the cost so we purchased mine straight out with cash. Finding we were taking more highway roads and at faster speeds and longer distances, a few years down the road I quickly realized the 4-speed 600 was a good commuter for my job at the time but was screaming at 65 or 70 mph. Enter the 02 Dyna. Great bike and I still have it. However uncomfortable after about 80 miles. She still makes noise and rumbles me down the road on occasions.
Enter the 19 Heritage 114. Great bike. I do not get the same goosebumps as I do on the Dyna, but I have saddlebag storage and with the upgraded seat and the proper handlebars I can go 200 miles with no issues. All I need now is my stage II so I can get the sound I want from an M8.
Admittedly this is a "hobby" and I make no apologies for it. I like warm weather, no-rain days. Have we gone out on cooler spring or fall days with the leather and few layers? Yes. Have we knowingly gone out with our rain gear because there was a chance of rain? Yeah, but rare or we were probably "stuck" in a situation or location and had no choice. Have we met great people and made lifelong friends on this journey? ABSOLUTELY!
'Orange Crush' 04 Honda VLX. Last picture I took a month before I found the Dyna. Just spent $700 on new V&H pipes 9 months prior
'Emerald' a 19 Heritage 114 and 'Wild Cherry' an 02 Dyna 88
I have found they are dangerous, bad for the environment, annoy people, and it should not be allowed for people to have them any longer.
Please bring them to my house, and I will save you from yourselves.... No questions asked, you can thank me later.
I will gladly take them from you so you can move on with life safely.
