RIP Christian Regenhard - USMC - FDNY. Christian was a Recon Marine, New York Firefighter, and my friend! He was murdered on 9/11/01. I, too, am sadened by the lack of Flags on display in my neighborhood.

Unfortunately you needn't look any further than these forums to see how some people that take this liberty for granted have already forgotten!! Alaska Hog Herder, AK_HOG_HERDER said that people should "get over it" about 9/11/01 - this was posted in the Princess DI thread - I tried to link it, but couldn't. What a Sad, Sad individual he is!

Leave us not forget that originally one of the founding principles of the US was that "all men are created equal" even though we may have lost sight of that over the years at times.

So, no don't give two hoots about any kind of "royalty" (referring to Princess Di).

And I kind of have the same "get over it already" attitude about September 11.
I would be very interested to know AK_Hog_Herder's reasoning behind this. Does it have something to do with your residence being in Alaska and that you feel safe there? Or, what?

I do not wish to castigate anyone without knowing their reasoning behind a statement, but this has me really pi$$ed. [sm=icon_flaming.gif]

Statements like this are the kind of thing that the enemy counts on as time passes. It makes their plans so much easier to unfold the next time.[sm=bomb.gif]

Please, AK_Hog_Herder, enlighten me with your reasoning.

I have been a professional fireman for 17 years and my Dad 25 years before me. I will never forget that day. 343 of my brothers died, and all the Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Sons, and Daughters.

A SIGN IN THE WINDOW of a U.S. BUSINESS:

"WE WOULD RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH 1000

AL QAEDA TERRORISTS THAN WITH ONE SINGLE AMERICAN"

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Philadelphia .

You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement. But we pride ourselves on being a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty. And after all, it is just a sign.

You may ask what kind of business would dare post such a sign?

Answer: A Funeral Home

God bless those who served and protected that day. Unlike the media, I will NEVER forget what happened. God bless those in our military, police and fire departments.

Will NEVER forget 911 and all the people and their families that died that day , God Bless them all .

And God Bless our troops home and abroad !!! I 've got two sons , Greg who just finished the Air Force BMT and will be in tech school for the next 8 mos . and Charles ( Army ) who has spent more time in Iraq than in the US since 911, three tours - all between 13-15 months . I'm proud of them and all of our troops but I don't believe we are really suiting a purpose over there anymore , our troops should be brought home . These little sheet heads have been battleing since Biblical times and nothing we do will change that . I say pull the troops and if these people become a direct threat in the future, NUKE them ! Let Allah sort out the innocents !!!

I will never forget. Been a firefighter for 15 years, personally knew three men who died in the towers and countless others through stories I have heard. I have noticed a lack of flags lately, I have also noticed a spineless, cowardly, guilty(of what I don't know), liberal swing in elected politicians and it scares the crap outta me. I am on shift today and we had a minute of silence at the time of each tower collapsing. Most people driving by honked and waved at the firetruck, the forgetful idiots had no idea why we were out there. Flatlander FTM-PTB
