Sorry to horn in on the post, but can someone help me understand what "body armor" is??

Thanks,
BK
Hard plastic inserts in the critical areas like the elbow, shoulder, & spine that are designed to absorb some of the impact if you should go down. Sometimes the armor is removable sometimes its not......sometimes it comes with the jacket like with the HD FXRG.....other times you have to buy the armor separately.

I've heard nothing but good about Fox Creek Leather. When I get a new leather jacket, vest or if I ever decide to wear chaps that's where I'll shop without hesitation.

I admit I wear more armor/protective gear in cooler weather than I do when it's hot. In winter I'm geared up pretty good most of the time, including Draggin Jeans or something similar. Most of my gear for winterare textile jackets by Tourmaster cuzthey're WARM and waterproof, have removable liners, vents, etc. They're also well armored most of the time.

If you're looking for leather then be sure it's good quality HEAVY leather. Thisis a must if you want to avoid rash - thin leather will vanish quickly skidding along the asphalt at 70 mph.

Can you give me a site for good leather jackets with body armor that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks.

hb
It's the cheap stuff that, in the end, will end up costing you an arm or a leg. If you're gonna wear it, this ain't the place to go cheap.
