It will be interesting to see the '07 results. These ratings are taken seriously by manufacturers and consumers alike. Don't dis the ratings because you don't like the results.

BMW for the win. Seriously, BMW makes good bikes. My dad was hardcore BMW before he got his HD. He also used to be able to completely rebuild his BMW from scratch when he had it. Perhaps that's why he liked it so much. Oh, and Ducati is another brand I like. Buell, though, beating out HD is kind of odd to me. Why did Buell beat HD?

Based on my experience with these brands, it seems fairly accurate. BMW is not without their issues, but the dealers tend to be very agressive in owner satisfaction. Often times just showing the client you care goes a long way towards a good survey.

Owner surveys are great but you have to remember that the make is highly correlated with the owner base. That just means that Harley owners and Kawasaki owners are not remotely similar. So, the information may be valuable for comparing Harley from one year to the next. But, it may not be very useful for comparing one make against another make.

One of by buddies is an engineer and a BMW fanatic. He drives and races the things. I asked him why he rides a Kawasaki instead of a BMW. He said that unlike the cars, the BMW bikes were just not competitive products. Go figure.

If the dealers are anything like the one here its a wonder they sell any bikes at all.
The owner can be a real pain in the butt.
Its a good thing the bikes are decent or he wouldn't be able to sell any at all.
Besides he hated my Harley when I stopped in one day.
Anyone who says he hates my Harley is goingout of his way topush all my "wrong" buttons.

Just last week JD Powers sent me a survey to fill out on how satisfied I am with my H-D. Even bribed me with $1 bill for my time.

Bustin on someone's scoot is no way to win friends or a future sale. It's a wonder how some of these dealers stay in business! Most BMW stores I have been in are well run, very professional with little attitude. I get all the 'tude across the street at the HD service dept....
