Your most embarassing patch?
What is the most embarassing patch you have on your vest? And tell us how and why is it there.
I'll start this out. Mine is a Rainbow patch. It started in a bar called the Oyster Pub in Dalton Georgia. Five other American Legion Riders and myself were in there for a few beers and food when the waitress started chatting with us. Our director went around the table making introductions and telling her what branch of service we all served in. As luck would have it, I'm the ONLY veteran from the United States Navy. The rest are all Army or Marine Corp, specifically 82 Airborne, Rangers and Force Recon. When he got to me and introduced me he asked the waitress if she new about the oddity of the Navy. She answered no and asked what it was. He told her, in the Navy you have 600 sailors go to sea and 300 couples come home.
She didn't miss a beat and walked over to me and looked all over my vest and asked me "So, where is your Rainbow patch?. I almost fell out of my chair and I couldn't believe she said that in front of these guys. Everybody else was rolling on the floor laughing. Since then I have gotten Rainbow stickers, pins and finally somebody found a small rainbow patch and they insisted I get the stupid thing sewed on. I was even given a Pink Rainbow Care Bear that was signed by all my brothers and sisters with a U.S. Navy pin in its RIGHT ear and they zip tied it to my back rest. I didn't take the care bear off, but fortunately I have two back rests and now the other one is on the bike. They said not to take it off THAT back rest, so I didn't. I just took the back rest off the bike and replaced it with the other one.

RE: Your most embarassing patch?
Good story...
Mine would be a little pirate skull with a bandana on it that my wife made me buy when we were at Disney world. It's not really embarrassing, just doesn't really go with the whole "theme" of the vest. I suppose it'll grow on me over time.

I don't have patches. I wear sport bike gear on my HD because it's most protective.
