I try to get out at least once a month, in the winter, here in PA. 3/4 helmet with shield, neoprene face cover ( neck to nose )and a headband to tighten up the seal on my helmet gets me down to the freezing mark. Below 32, no bikin.
HJC full face with a Turtle Fur pullover. I was using the Turtle Fur with a H-D Ultra Jet 3/4 with flip shield and it wasn't bad, but with the full helmet I'm toasty.

I wear a 3/4 with a shield and a $3 tube type fleece balaclava from Academy sports. I find that if I pull the fleece up over my chin I'm good down into the 30's and my chin doesn't freeze. The little bit of my face thats exposed below my glasses doesn't get cold...unless I raise the shield..
I wear a full face modular HJC in the winter, but I hate it. [:@]
? is that the one with a flip up chin? How do you like the HJC?
Not trying to steal the thread. Thought others might like to know also.
Yes, it has the flip up chin. I like it as well as any full face helmet, I just like the 3/4 or 1/2 half better. In the winter it is the warmest I've found and the flip up front lets me put my glasses on/off.
