Lizard Head Pass
I-70 looking down from Loveland Pass
We have also been to Glacier, Beartooth, Yellowstone,Grand Canyon, the Ozarks, all the good rides in Arizona, and South Dakota.
From here in Bozeman, MT, I never get tired of going down Gallatin Canyon to West Yellowstone. West is not much of a town, so I usually fill up and keep riding. I like to come back through Ennis (turn left/west at Hebgen Lake) and Beartrap Canyon. Or, going from West into the Park and out through Gardiner and up Paradise Valley. All nice rides.
Wego north to the Sinamohoning state park on Pa.and watch the Bald Eagles fly and catch fish...Best ride was riding the wife on the bike in the basement..She complained the ignition switch hurt her back ???[sm=lildevil.gif]
We haven't taken a long ride yet but we ride a lot. Our trips usually are between 2-3 hundred milesby the timewe get back to the house. But I have to say that anytime I'm with my wife Sandra the ride is always the best.
Ride on DH
My best motorcycle ride was about 15 years ago from Cima, CA to Goffs, CA on a Honda XR600R with a friend on a YZ Yamaha. We unloaded at Cima, took a little used gravel road to the east side of the Hackberry Mountain range and then took a broad desert wash south to a powerline road. Then we went on south to Goffs on the first two-track we saw. It was 90 miles of the fastest sort of desert riding. We had lunch, gassed up and returned on approximately the same route. In some places of the big wash, we were running 70/75 mph. We got back to the haul truck in Cima and met up with some dual-sport riders. They asked if we knew about the establishment of the Mojave National Desert Preserve. We didn't. It had become official three weeks beforehand. If we had been stopped while riding off-road in the preserve, we probably would have faced huge fines. No wonder we got some strange looks when we arrived in Goffs on strictly off-road bikes. Great scenery, great desert riding and a great hamburger in Goffs. ...... BC
