a friend of mine just bought a used 2005 rocket III....the bike is a beast...I let him take a quick ride on my fsxti and he said "I gotta get a bike"...I tried to talk him into a harley but he wanted water cooling (?)...so I said triumph...now he says his next bike would prolly be a harley....anyway he owes me a test drive

My riding buddy bought the first Rocket 3 in So Cal. Took me for a ride- -= wow he is a body builder weight lifter that weighs almost 300 pounds plus me at 155 and that bike acted like we weren't even on it. He actually lifted the front wheel off the ground once. On the freeway he asked me how fast did I think we were going - I said 80 - nope over 140. It was smooth as glass. He now has almost 100,000 miles and it is reliable and trouble free. Great bike once you get over the bulky look of it!

I'd really like to see a well appointed touring version. Something with full fairing, lowers, hardbags, tourpack, stereo, cruise and all the bells and whistles. With the right design and bodywork the bike would be much more appealing.

If I wanted one I'd just go get one, but I think they're just about the ugliest bike out there, so that's not gonna happen.
My Gixxer would tear it a new a**h***.
