Actually Murph, the thing to do would be to say something like:

"Oh hi there, (Mr. or Ms.) Doof! I can see by your shiny points cover that you're a doof and I just want to tell ya - you all are really cool!!! Do you think I could buy you a beer or two?"

That would be a great way to meet and talk to some really nice people. Just sayin.
