What can I say???? I might be new to this forum, but I'm not new to MC's
What goes on behind the clubhouse doors, stays behind the clubhouse doors [] hee hee
If you're really into getting into a MC, the people you hang with would probably know who to touch base with. AS someone else said, go to a support function first and hang around. Don't go in ***** to the wall asking about evrything and everyone, you may be mistaken for someone with an agenda and not someone wanting to affiliate. Casually let it be known that you have interest. After the club has gotten to know you, ask again about membership. If found acceptable, you will be told everything you need to know.
Remember respect goes a long way in a club, pushing for information may get you hurt or worse. You actually don't join, you are accepted.
Safe riding and thanks for your service to us all. WE sleep at night because you're out there on the wall.
ABATE is big in MN, I'm from Iowa and we share many events. Come on down next 4th of July to the Algona Freedom Rally. We now have our own land, 400 acres, party is self contained, cheap tats, cheap beer, cheap woman, ride drunk, ride naked, what ever ya want - It is the Freedom Rally after all. Best What Tshirt Contest around. Skin to Win!
WARNING: I have seen 300lbs woman and way to many dudes running around naked at this party, sometimes naked is not a good thang.
I belong to a local club, Berrien County Riders, we are a small group with a limit of 40 members, we ride together and use the club as a base to do comunity functions. We are well known in the south western Michigan area. We use our love of riding to raise money for groups like MDA, Red Cross, Hospice, and Toys for tots. We have raised over $20,000.00 this year and we are just gearing up for the Toys for tots group. We are well thought of in the community and get support from the local Harley shop and radio station.
I guess where I was headed there before I got out of hand blowing our own horn, is find out who is out there with the right values that match yours. Don't get me wrong my clubs has as much fun as any of them we just dont lose sight of what we really joined for that is to ride and have fun, the giving back is just a huge bennifit.
