Well, I went to the auction today, and it wasn't a knuckle. It was a very rare, 1944 U Model flathead, one of 497 civilian models built in the last year of the war, or so we were told.

It was pretty rough shape, but still brought local bids up to $19,100. The estate did not sell it, claiming they had higher internet bids.
