I think you'll be happiest with a couple of helmets. I personally don;t care for fullface, however on cold days, it helps. I have a Shoei J-wing(3/4) for trips and cold weather, and on hot days I have a 1/2 helmet from Harley. The j-wing is just as quiet and windproof as a fullface IMO
I bought a full face Bell for days when its cold and a 1/2 for the hot days.
Bells are good helmets with pretty good prices. I think my full face was only about $140.00 Some of the Shoei are much more. More expensive better helmet? Hard to say but I am sure I will know in a few more posts.

That is an interesting helmet! I kind of like it..............for winter that is.
I have a HD branded helmet like this and I love it. I'll prob get a 3/4 face helmet for next summer, because when it is warm out I ride with the visor up more than down.
And BTW, the HD helmet is actually a KBC according to the tag inside.
dont let dollars be the deciding factor in purchasing a helmet . I know 300-400 bucks sounds like alot of money but skull fractures , reconstructive surgery or a trip to the dentist to replace teeth will cost very much more. a good helmet is the cheapest insurance you can buy .

Exactly.
I have a Shoei RF-1000. I really like it a lot! Great ventilation, removable liners and the visors are very easy to switch out. I too recommend trying one on at a store and then finding a cheaper price. I like his website.
