Default Heated Stuff

Well Hub and I went to our dealer's chili feed yesterday with some friends and we are now the proud owners of some heated gear. We had to order the stuff, should be here by Tuesday. We got jacket for me vest for Hub, both got the pants and we are getting heated grips. The grips are aftermarkets where it slips into the existing grips you don't get a whole new grip. I figure now that we got all this stuff coming one of two things will happen...1. Minnesota will have a record warm/no snow winter or 2. we will end up with 6 feet of snow by Thanksgiving. Think I will vote for #1

Look into a dual control thermostat if you only have the on/off button. Also, please read the specs as that is a lot of pull on the battery if you run everything at the same time. At the very least make sure the bike is running and above idle before turning on the gear.

Congrats onmoney well invested in your sanity and well-being. You are going to be a very happy lady! I'm sincerely excited for you!

If I've already been plugging in on mornings in VA, I seriously doubt you'll have a mild enough winter to not put your new gear to great use in MN. I've been to your beautiful country of10,000 lakesin the winter. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Just remember to unplug before getting off your bike and you won't look like the idiot that I consistently am. How many times does it take to learn? Jeez. [&o]

Ironhorse, I'm sure that I will forget to unplug at least a few timesI have spent some time in your neck of the woods too, I moved to MN in 94 from Middleburg. Hub was born and raised in NOVA, mostly around Falls Church. We moved back here cause keeping horses here is alot cheaper than there! Now I need to figure out a way to plug in that heated gear when I'm riding a horse!

I want heated gear, just don't know if I would get enough use to justify the expence. So I'm going to experiment with these. http://www.warmhandsnow.com/store/warmers.shtml
