Finally just saw the movie the other night. Yeah, it was funny. True, there are a lot of people like the characters in the movie, but so what. They had fun.
Funny thing is that YES, there supposedly are still "gangs" out there that you're supposed to beware of, but for the most part they're not out to do harm for the Hell of it. Just treat them like anyone else you see at a bar.
There are dorks out there that do think you should give the "gangs" a wide berth though. I've heard guys tell me "If the Blah-Blahs want your bike, you let them take it." Um, no.
My hubby and I enjoyed the movie for what it was .. a.. comedy. As far as the "gang" comments, I think I would have referred to them as a "motorcycle gang" only cause we use the word to mean a group of people, like when my sister comes over with all her kids and i'm like " hey there I see you brought the whole gang with ya"
No "Gangs" you see people who belong to motorcycle clubs. And no, it's nothing like the movies.
I will argue that one. Run down into south Texas around the Big Bend area and find some Banditos. They arent exactly like in the movie... They would have killed someone on the spot for cutting brake lines. They have also killed dozens of police officers over the years. I think they're about as close as you can get to the Hell's Angels of yore.
The name is Bandidos, not Banditos. The Bandidos have NOT killed dozens of police officers. WTF?
"Criminals riding together are a MOTORCYCLE GANG."
...Not sure if I agree. Criminals riding together are criminals....when criminals conspire to commit crime they may be a gang. Ifcriminals ride together why does that make it a "motorcycle" gang....it may just be a club. I'm sure there are gang members that ride bikes.
