There was a booth at the Daytona Rally this year that was selling rotorless brake systems. These brakes actually used the shaeft rather than a rotor to stop. They were claiming that the stopping was actually reduced with this new system.
My draw to it is that there are no longer rotors hiding the wheels. I want to put some perty new wheels on my sled, but really don't think it's worth the $ when an ugly rotor hides them.
Can anyone direct me to the vendors of this system? I would love to hear from anyone who has them as to their thoughts on them....
I cannot remember where I saw the rotorless brakes, but I do remember that they were more $ than I was willing to pay. I run "EagleZ" by Xtreme Machine and hate the fact that the pulley and rotors cover part of the wheel... but I am not able or willing to pay for the fix..........
it looks real nice. I thought I had heard a of a few issues with them, not sure tho you would need to do some research.
Thats it! Thank you steve. I will begin my "research" about them now.
There is a member called shooter64 that can point you in the right direction as he has very good relations with them. You may ask by pm'ing him. He is away for a few days @ the car show, may be back today or tomorrow.
