Ya Ever Do anythin'?
We all get cut off...
Almost Run over...
Backed into...
Every once in a while you come out to find some little punk pretending he is the owner of your hog, sittin’ on it…fiddling with things...
What do you all do? I need some ideas 'bout what I can get away with or what might be appropriate. Sometimes I flip 'em the bird. Although sometimes that little voice in the back of my head tells me this is increasing my chances of that hummer running me over. Sometimes I pull up at the next like and give the person a nice "WTF!".
...nope not very clever, or helpful...
One time the guys downstairs threw a party…with my bike as the center piece, I asked them to move it (the party) "why?" they ask. And just as I answer "Because..." some jacka$$ drops his can, not just the liquid, the can, on the top of my gas tank. "Because that's gonna happen." That's the only time I ever gotten physical with someone over the bike, mostly because he wouldn't apologize, in fact started cussing at me. My buds pulled me off - his G/F apologized for him. The housing setup has since been changed.
What do you all do? What's a good way to get the message across to someone driving, or otherwise, that what they did/almost did to you, or your scoot, while parked, or riding, was not okay...
Stories are great.
Thanks,
Monk

I usually will gesture or yell at a driver if they do something unsafe around me. If they actually wantto "discuss" the matter, I usually lighten up and explain to him or her why almost killing me isn't cool so that perhaps they will pay more attention in the future.
I've never had a group of people bothering me, so I don't know what I'd do. Maybe I'd offer to give someone a ride and then just split. Having uncool neighbors, however, seems intolerable. You **** them off and your bike will probably suffer if it can't be garaged at night. If some diplomacy didn't work, I'd probably move.
Regarding fighting, I don't think I'd go that far. That's not someone I want to be.

Look don’t get me wrong but the (kids will be kids thing) saved all our butts at one time or another. As long as there is no damage, what’s the issue. A little surprised that this is coming from me but anger management may be the best way out. If a kid wants to set on my bike and act like it’s his, great, might be the next guy on the Forum. Just saying!
Oh the driving thing, I assume that they are trying to cause me harm using a weapon, their car. So I pull up along side and put a 45 round through their head and call it self-defense.
Edit: There goes my outside voice again, Sorry but that is very bad advice and is more than a little difficult to explain to a judge. So try and maintain (you’re the man) at least your ok..

I was at a local bar, a few people were checking out my bike, which I don't mind.
Then a lady hoped on it, I yelled:" Hey lady, GET THE **** OFF MY BIKE!"
She replied: "Don't worry, I ride myself."
"I don't care if you're Mother Teresa you don't get on my damn bike without asking first!"

Yeah. I get pretty torqued when people get on my bike without asking. Not cool.
In traffic, what can I do? It happens almost every time I ride. I live in Marietta. Someone cuts me off, rides my fender, pulls in front of me, almost sideswipes me, you name it. If they are just being jackasses, usually a cold look and a crack of the throttle makes them look straight ahead. If someone almost causes an accident, 9 of 10 times they realize it, and make some sign of an appology. If I do happen to be stopped next to them at a light, and they wanna appologize vocally (which believe it or not has happened to me a few times) I simply ask them kindly to please pay attention. If they don't even realize they've done it, that is when it gets really disturbing. I go out of my way to get their attention and at least give them the "your number one!" sign, tell them to pull their head out of their *** and drive, and then hold a 9mm to their head until they agree to do so from then on... kidding of course.
Seriously, what can you do in traffic without adding more potential for harm to yourself? Ride safe, always be alert, always expect the worst, and always have an escape plan. It's kept me alive for quite a while, knock on wood.
