Whatever you get make sure that the tie downs actually will hold the bike. Camped next to a group from canada at sturgis last year. When they opened up the brand new toy hauler, they had a pile of five bikes laying on top and against each other. All the tie downs broke. Buy something that will hold the bike upright with out ties being so important.

Use the wheeldock in my garage and have the trailer kit. Works great.

I have been looking at the Framelock. Has anyone used this system??? - no straps

Correct me if I'm wrong but in my thinkingwhen using the chocks you still have to usestraps. I'm not a big fan of straps particularlywhensecuring a several thousand dollar piece of equipment. In the north where our roads are not the best(to put it lightly) trailers bounce - sometimes quite a bit. Straps are notorious for coming unlatched if overtightenedor unhooked ifundertightened. The only good straps arecommercial gradeand they are way to big for a bike tiedown application.

Hidalgo: I use the Bike Pro with the optional mounting plate. The plate is left on the trailer floor as it is only about 1/2 inch high. I also use tie downs front and rear just incase of an accident throwing the bike around. The Bike Pro allows one to 'ride' into the haul position and then it cams into holding the bike. You can get off and go around setting your tie downs. It takes a little tug on the handlebars to get the Bike Pro to release, but it is not too much. I have used my trailer for moving furniture several times. I just take the Bike Pro off the mounting ramp and set it aside. There are imitations of the Bike Pro available. You pays you money and makes you choice. ....... BC

I do and will continue to strap down my bikes in the trailer. Buy good straps ---use HD hog ties and duct tape all hooks and handles. I tie excess strap on itself as a saftey. A man much wiser than myself told me to tie down my motorcycles in the trailer with enough straps that if the trailer was placed upside down the only thing that would come out or loose is fluids. He also told me not to bind the bike but let it work on the suspension. I have never had a problem trailering the bikes following his advice. My two cents worth.

I use Condor too. They are the best as far as I'm concerned. I have two permanent mounting locations and I probably will buy the e-track mount so when I haul just one bikeI can center it in the trailer. Also use Powertye straps. They are awesome.
Have to agree on the Powertye Straps!

+1 for theBike Pro.

Easy on, easy off. Use 6 tie-downs. I use Power-Tyes.
