I've owned several HD's, and never had an issue firing one up in freezing temps - Provided the battery was up to snuff. I always tell myself I'm going to store it all winter, but I rarely make it 3 weeks without the itch to jump back on it!

Bike's in neutral and not just pulling the clutch while it's in gear, right?

I'd drain out that dry gas crap. I belive you only need to ad sta bil. then do a jump start if it don't spin fast enough or put a tender on for a couple hours and try starting. But I bet it's the gas..

29F this morning, so I tried to start my bike, it fired up pretty easy. I don't know what the problem was the other day, but this is the second time in a few months this "no start" issue has happened. Friggin' ghost problems are such a pain in the a$$ !

Default Cold weather no start solved

I'm just posting a follow up to this ongoing no-start issue with my bike. I started having an ocassional hot no-start as well this past summer, and I finally said screw it, and brought my bike to the dealer. They figured out what the starting issues stemmed from, incorrect fuel injectors. My bike was assembled with poorly engineered 8 degree fuel injectors. The replaced them with Screamin' Eagle 25 degree injectors, and re-flashed my ECU. Man my bike has got some sweet added power rolling the throttle at 40 mph now! Harley actually had a service bullitin reguarding this issue, but of course because my bike was out of warranty, Harley made me pay for it, however my dealer gave me the injectors for dealer cost and saved me about $50. My bike now lites right off even if it's 20F outside...

HOLY TOLEDO !!!!!!
I have to laugh, folks. Won't turn over "FAST" enough. You should see me KICK STARTIN' mine. That ol' right leg is jus' a "blur" whilst I am tryin' to roll the motor over "FAST" enough to start. THINK about it for jus' a second.

Gas, spark, and timing. Gots those 3, you gots 'fire in the hole'.

Mine has a VERY difficult time below 28* or so. NOT because it won't run, but because the 85-140w gear lube is TOO STIFF. (Unlike me when it gits that 'cool' ) And below 0, you can stand on the kicker, sort of like a small step ladder.
You gots to remember I weigh a screamin' 165-170. So not a lot of m'***' to git the 'starter' rollin' over.

My guess is chitty gas or your voltage is too low to kick the ign. I have Mallory electronic on the pan, and if the voltage drops too low, it will not fire.

OK, so you posted whilst I was postin'. Heck with it, will still hit "send". Here ya go.
