Anybody running this? From what i have read it sounds pretty good. If i am reading right it will program it self as you ride.If you are running it how is it. Sounds like it better than a PC111. [sm=biker.gif]
Yes the T-max auto tune is better than the PCIII, but it costs quite a bit more. You need to have a 02 bung installed in each head pipe for the T-Max so it can monitor the current f/a ratio and change it on the fly. It will also automatically compensate for any other mod's you do down the line. It uses what it called a open loop system along with wide band 02 sensors to optimize the f/a mix foe all conditions. I am not 100% sure if it will also change ignition timing at all or raise the rev limiter setting, but from what I understand it is one of the best systems on the market right now. I am not too sure if they have the unit ready for the 2008 bikes yet, but I am sure it will not be too long if they dont.
I am not using it....I decided to go with the SERT on both of my bikes, but if I was unsatisfied with the SERT, I would buy the T-Max with no reservations at all.
I had a PCIII and ditched it for the Thundermax, It is far superior. It auto adjusts A/F. You can change timing but it is a software change, simple to do.
I also had a PCIII and switched out to the T-Max. The T-Max cost much more but will worth it in my opinion. Sice installed the bike pulls much harder and better throttle response with my mods. I have only put around 100 miles if thaton her with the T-Max and I'm told she will run much better as I add some more miles.
Had a TM on my 07 WG for about a year. Was the best thing I ever did for it. Traded it for a 07 touring with DBW.
Now HD changed the plug for the ECM and the programming is different.
Sittin and waiting for TM to come out with a fix or update for it and I will put it on my new 08 touring bike. They claimed it will be out after the 1st of the year.
