I agree with the guys above. Indy shop. They charge about 1/2 of what the stealership charges.

I have (knock on wood) never had a flat, so have no 1st hand experience with dealer charges.

My supervisor rides an Ultra, and when HE needs tire/tube changes or repairs, he removes the offending wheel himself, and brings it to the dealer for repair, cutting his costs.

Had ANOTHER co-worker, who thought he would repair his own flat front tire. Had the tire/wheel combination on his garage floor, and after a couple hours of grunting, groaning and wrenching, he finished the job, and put the wheel back on (it was a front). Went to go for a ride, and noticed a serious pulsing in the front. Turns out he jacked up his front rotors. The final repair bill was MORE than what it would have cost him to take it to the dealer, and have them do the work to begin with.

Pull the wheel off and bring it in. I have a local tire shop that sells both car and motorcycle tires and mounts the tires for free if you bring it in and buy the tires from them.

Remember, if your not sure then don't mess with it. The front tire is kind of important to have working 100%.

Went ahead and bought a jack from Harbor freight. 3/4 ton for 59 bucks. Took the tire off myself after a little pain in the *** coming up with the socket needed to free the brakes. Took it to my local indy shop. they charged 32.50 labor. 13.50 for tube. put the tire back on without any difficulty, bout ten minutes. rides like new
