RE: Honey, Do These Boots Make My Soles Look Fat? (Need Boot Recommendations)
511 makes some really nice boots. You might want to take a look at them. I have two pairs and one of them is waterproof. They came in handy a couple of times while out on the road. One great feature is they zip up the side and only cost about $90 at the local uniform supply store.

Wife and I both have Cruiserworks. They are waterproof, but made of leather so they breath. They are well made, look good, and are light and very comfortable to walk in.
All the HD boots I have tried are heavy and uncomfortable for anything but sitting on the bike. I used to ahve to take a pair of walking shoes on trips if I knew I would have to walk at all.

I have a pair of Red Wings. Love them. Plan to wear them till I am an old man. Mine are not water proof but I didnt think of that when I bought them. Water never hurt my toes anyways ahaha.

Chippewa black loggers best boots I've ever owned!!! The boots are good for any terrain. Got them from the bootbarn for around $120 bones. I've had any cop boot you can think of and the Chippewa are the best boots IMO.

I wear every day riding or not my Dr Martens engineer boots.
Have been wearing them for years, just bought a replacement pair because the leather was getting nasty on the toes.
Totally waterproof and work for me in the middle of summer 115+ through the coldest days I will ride in... mid teens.
They aren't the lightest of boots, but I am confident that they offer the most protection this side of metal ankle plates like in a racing boot.

Been wearing First Responder "tactical" boots for about the last eight years. Light, comfortable, and durable. With almost everyday wear I get about 3 years outta 'em. Not entirely waterproof though... if it's raining that much I figure I shouldn't be riding.
