What size tires?
Thinking about buying 18 inch wheels for my 06 fatboy. Going with the 3.50 in the front and 4.50 in the rear. Was told i needed to do no modifications for this fitment. I'm hoping so. My original question is that I like the low profile and sporty look of the metzler tire and was wondering what size tires would it be in the front and rear besides knowing it's an 18 inch tire. That's all I know up to this point. Also what would be the widest tire I can put on the rear rim without worring about rubbing against the fender. Thank you up front for the input. Ray

I changed my fatboy to 18 inch wheels front and rear with 3.5 inch front and 4.25 inch rear... It seems to me that the rims were the widest allowed without mods to the bike... it might have been 4.5 inch but I opted for a lower profile tire so the rim had to be 4.25. The Metzlers I put on were 140/70-18 front (largest available) and opted for 150/70-18 rear (160/60-18 is largest allowable) I was going on a trip around the USA and the footprint and ride was better with the 150's. Be careful on the Metzlers... some problems with the Brazilian made ones... I have since switched to a Bridgestone on the rear and an Avon on the front.
