If You have a photo editing program, this is the best way to resize a pic.You have to store you photos at a image hosting site and you can resize them there.http://www.photobucket.com/ is the one I use and it's free.Just go to the link I posted and set up your account then start uploading your pics and then resize them there. If you have a photo printer, you can check the setup disk that came with it and see if it has photo imaging (that's where I got my program) that you can load on you computer and that will allow you to resize you pics. The best size to use for a photo is 650 pixels.
Cool I'm glad that Terry got you taken care of. I use photobucket.com as well and I also use Fastone Image viewer software http://www.faststone.org/ that I downloaded to my PC. It's free and very easy to use. You can resize, crop, and add effects to your images.
Now if I typed ltr.JPG it would not load. It doesn't care what the extention is, it just goes by the actual name. So case matters.
For some reason this forum does not like to deal with Macintosh during image uploads. So the Avatar and Signature images need to come from a Windows machine. There are a lot of sites on the web that do that.
When you use the image button you have to click between the two and type the full link.
I must be a real illiterate, I for the life of me can't get a pic on. I will try the instructions that you have given. Its a bitch when you can't introduce your ride to everyone.
Has anyone found something that works with Mac??? I have to use my wife's laptop to post, and it's irritating, because the WWW is supposed to be OS irrelevant.
Maybe the other Mac users ain't riding harleys?

Here is an easy way to post pictures in the body of your post or in your signature. Just follow my directions and let me know if you have a problem.
If you want to post full size pictures you have to use a picture host on the net. Go to www.photobucket.com and sign up. Then download your pictures from your computer to photo bucket. Once you get the ones you want downloaded pick a picture you want to post here. Just below the picture (in photo bucket) you will see a URL. Right click and copy it. Now go back to the forum and when you are in your post look up below the bottom right smiley face and you will see an image button. Click on it and it will insert this in your post [IMG][/IMG]. Now see the two middle brackets--][-- Put you cursor between them and right click and ipaste your copied URL from photo bucket here. When you are done it will look like this. . Now scroll down and click OK. Your picture should be in your post.
If you want a picture in your signature you will do basically the same thing except after you have copied your URL from photo bucket go back to the forum and click on "My Profile" at the top of the forum page. Now scroll down until you see "My Signature". In the white box on the right type It has to be exact with no spaces between your image brackets and the URL. Now scroll down and click on OK or Apply and your image should be saved in your signature. Do another test to see if it worked.
