Mike, in Sept I had an accident at work. Blacked out for no reason in the stair well and fell 6 steps putting my head thru a wall. Left a hell of a hole. I was a quad for a few hours and slowly regained legs and arms. I hospital for a week and then home to recover. Meds they had me on, gave me a bleeding ulcer and back to the hospital for a week along with 4 units of blood in two days. Just before Christmas I got out of the neck brace. Still trying to get all the feeling back into the hands, feet and butt. But a lot better than the alternative.

Word got out about what happened and all kinds of people I hadn't seen in a while showed up to check on me. I guess the nurses got nervous in the Hospital from the HA jackets in my room and the rest of the bikers going in and out. No one from my HOG chapter showed. Damn bunch of RUB's.

these were bikers that I have aided at one time or another. Ones that I can truly count on as brothers. Sorry I can't say the same about my HOG chapter. They have a lot learn. Kind of like the time I was at the side of the road with a blown tire. I counted 85 bikes passing, then an old black man in a beat up truck stopped to see if he could help.

Mike, I got two tears in my spinal chord at C5 and C6 verts. I did prove I don't need no stinken Helmet. No head injuries. I have requested safer barriers installed in the stair wells.

didn't mean to hijack. Heather, I was on all kinds of monitors, all kinds of scans etc.. Can't figure out the reason for the blackout. By the way, I used to live outside of Fortucky when I worked at Ft. Harrison. Meridian Road just North of 1000N, I built the house on top of the hill on the left as you go North on Meridian to 1100N.
