I don't know how people have so much time on their hands that they can judge others for what they wear, especially considering they are too busy worrying about others who put HD stickers on their imported cars:
I hear ya, too many people get on bikes for a fashion statement. I ride in my old beat up leather jacket when it's cold and jeans and a beatup tank when it's hot
I don't get it if a Chevy guy wears a Chevy shirt or a Dodge guy wears a Dodge shirt or some Honda guy wears a Honda why can't a Harley guy wear a Harley shirt?
I think some guys have been sitting at there computer to long and need to stand up andadjust there pantsa little and relieve the pressure.
It's funny that I have posted a couple of times askingsome pretty boringmechanicalquestions and got 5 or 6 responses. I run a post about fashion and I get 2 pages of responses. Seems a couple of you took offense but the rest either agreed or wrote something that made me laugh. Bottem line is I enjoy this forum and will keep on reading when I have time. I learn alot here. I work ALOT so I don't havemuch time to sit and post. If I'm not working I'm riding. The time I have is better spent reading. Some of you guys crack me up and on a stressful day I can grab 5 minutes and laugh at someones goofy post or response and get back to work in a better mood. Everybody have a great day. Ride what you got wearing what you got.

It's been a while since I've been logged in and posted anything; and generally I stay away from this kind of post but something about it just struck me the wrong way. Yes, I have a good bit of Harley Davidson apparel; t-shirts I've collected from all different dealers, riding boots, thermal shirts, beanie cap, a leather vest I had Harley (and other bike related) patches sewn on, fingerlass gloves, heated gloves etc. Do I wear the stuff?? Damn right I wear it, and do you know why?? Because I'm proud to own a Harley Davidson. I could've afforded to buy whatever bike I wanted but I wanted a Harley and that's what I got. I've been riding for many years now, both Harley and metric, and I am also a year-round rider. Personally I wouldn't consider myself a poser. I ride, I love to ride, and I love to ride my Harley dressed however I damn well please. Now, in regards to someone calling me a poser, RUB, or anything to the like - big f'ing deal. Go ahead and do it; either behind my back or to my face (even though I'd have more respect for you if you say it to my face). However judge not lest ye be judged. How in the world do you know ANYTHING about me or who I am unless you take the time to know me or I decide to tell you about myself? Making a judgement call based on the way a person looks is a pretty big assumption in regards to that person. Now, in regards to trying to look "bad ***" - LOL. That just cracks me up. Do you think that's the only reason someone would go riding dressed in their Harley attire? Yup, you caught me; that's all I want to do is look "bad ***" and impress or scare everyone -[&:]. Man, I couldn't give a rat's behind if I look "bad ***" or not. As stated before, it's a matter of pride for me.
Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion - EVERYONE. However I don't see the need to judge someone or throw them into some sterotyped group based on what YOU think about them especially when you haven't a clue about the person under those clothes. One of the biggest attractions for me in regards to riding is being part of the biking "family". If you love to ride and it's in your heart who cares what you ride or wear. Personally I feel a lot of comments made are due to those who really haven't quite grasped the concept of truly loving to ride. If they had they wouldn't be so quick to judge a fellow rider based on their appearance.
wow, im glad these type of people didnt see me last summer when I ws riding around in a pink dress shirt, black and pink tie, and a pair of khakis........I did have harley boots on though [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
