Yes your all right that is a F/A18C Hornet worlds premier Fighter Attach Aircraft. I no longer work on them ( I retired after 26 years) I assist in training the Pilots that fly them (read operate/fix the flight sim. they use). Attached is a few more pics. These fine young men and women of VMFA-312 are finnaly returning to their loved ones in Beaufort SC soon. They are a great bunch of men and women and are led by a fellow soon to be 2005 Fat Boy Owner. Enjoy. I will post all the pics in my folder.

Thanks for sharing. I can only dream of taking a spin in that bad boy.
I wouldn't care for any full throttle dives at the ground, but I sure would LOVE to feel the power in a straight line. No loops or other puking inducing maneuvers....;_)

I flew backseat in an F-4E when I was active duty...probably the second best thing to riding a Harley! Fast, smooth, and american made muscle.......

then there is the A-6....
I get to watch the scope from Shotgun, occasionally when a carrier goes through a full launch cycle...it's incredible what those flight deck guys do...
and me just a button masher...

I better explain the backseat flight...it was an incentive flight to get me to re-enlist. I worked in the egress shop back then so I trusted the seat! Loved the ride but got out and joined the reserves here in Ohio. 27 years later, on my fourth different airframe, and still fixin' airplanes. Working on finding the pic of a bunch of my co-workers Harley's parked in front of a C-141C, the Hanoi Taxi.

Here is a pic of some of the bikes in the unit...The aircraft is the Hanoi Taxi, first C-141 to haul the POW's out of Hanoi. It will soon be going to the AF Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
