Not sure if I like the Crossbones or not yet. Have to see it in other than a photo. But right nowit lookslike a "Frankenstien's" monster...little bit of this bike, little bit of that bike. Maybe why they named it what they did.

I like the new Crossbones.
It's very clear what Harley is doing. They are trying to reach a younger market segment. The ad for the Crossbones features skateboarding! Whodaever thought they would see that in a Harley Ad?

Rather genious actually. The MOCO's gotta break free from it's core age group of us seniors in order to move forward... I mean I've mentioned, true or not, that this Harley otta be the last one.

Maybe this young trend will filter into the local Hog Chapters. Young pirates on the Cross Bone. Oh wait no space for luggage and trailer hitch.

x2lee,I didnt "Diss" anything.I stated my opinion and I still feel that way.Its pig ugly.
There is no way any biker could mistake Anibuss's bike's lines or styleing for those of the crossbones or any bike in the 08 line-up.I fail to see where you seen the resemblence............
The Crossbones is a chromed doodad nightrain with thespringer front end.If you need a new model, they should gothe extra mile to make it worth our dollars. The rake needs changed as it looks like a pug nosedyamaha starAs it is now. That would go a long way to improving the looks for a start.
I can bet the dealers wont be selling many this year above MSRP.

These will sell like the Fat Bob seems to be selling well locally. It's new,and that's all some people care about.

I like the Crossbones. Fat Bob is pretty cool. Not a fan of the Rocker. But I am not a fan of that stretched style bike anyways.

But who cares what any of us like? People will buy them. Harley is offerring choices.

And for people griping about offering something new. Ummm....the bikes basically are the same damn things they have been for decades. Sure you add FI, some more CI here or there....but really. These things aint changed much in a long time. So why gripe about an '08 now? The whole Harley thing is nostaglic designs. Don't believe me? Study a Ducati's design for awhile and then get back to me. That is an example of a brand that stays on the leading edge and changes. Harley does not -- they offer modern day classic/retro rides.

So what is the big deal about putting out -- yet another bike -- that is a throwback to another era? Outsides the Vrods every bike in the line is a throwback.

Wow...I must have low standards. I like the Rocker (I've even had the chance to sit on one at the local bike show...), the Cross Bones looks cool to me, while I prefer the older style of Fat Bob, I think the new style is OK, I have nothing against skateboards (used to own one in the 70's...), realize that at 43, and a relatively new Harley owner (1 year as of next month...), I'm around the average age of a Harley owner.
I've always marvelled at the marketing to "18 - 35" year olds. I don't know about anyone else out there, but I didn't have $19K to drop on a bike when I was 18 - 35. I was a broke azz single Private in the Cdn Forces at 18, and by 35 I was a broke azz Sgt in the Cdn Forces, with a wife, and three growing boys. More important things to do with the paycheque than give it to the MoCo.
Besides...all they need to do is make another Terminator movie (once Arnie is out of office), and have him ride the CB or whatever, and they'll get their future market. T2 started my jones for the Fat Boy. Just took me 15 years or so to get to the point where I could afford one.
To each his own I figure. For every one person who hates the Rocker or CB, there is another who loves them. Can't we all just get along?
P.S. - Anubiss, I like your bike too. Gets sharper looking with each mod.
