RE: Trip planning question
Back in my yute (as Joe Pesi would say) riding from NJ to Texas would be fun. In February I'm not so sure. 400 to 500 miles a day may be a bit optomistic, can't go that fast in rain, fog, snow, sleet, wind etc. If you stay south you may avoid the snow. 1500 miles in crap weather isn't fun. It ain't going to be warm until you hit Texas....also remember you gotta get home!
Riding in the southwest you get really jaded with good weather. Falls into the 50's and we think twice before we ( I ) get the bike out.
