Over in Iraq, last August I ordered an 06 Street Bob. I am supposed to take delivery of it on or about 5 Feburary. The last I heard from them was in November when I changed delivery locations to Virginia. I still owe a balance on the bike and I know I am supposed to be square thirty days prior to delivery. I got the money, but not where or who to pay it to. Well the time is sneaking up on me and they aren't responding to my emails and phone calls. Well just two phone calls and three or four emails.
Has anyone done the overseas order and recieved similar problems? Did everything go smoothly?
The biggest problem is I am set to go back to Iraq in late Feburary, so a significant delay will mean i can't take delivery until August at the earliest.
I'll tell you something else, they take 21 days to divert from the factory to your dealer, so unless you can get ALL of the paperwork (payment in full, etc.) to them 21 days prior to your anticipated delivery date, you'll probably have to adjust or get a special power-of-attorney for someone to pick-up for you.

RE: Overseas Military Order Problems?
Last I new the money went to the dealer you were picking the bike up from. Where are you stationed? I was at Bragg and the dealer north of us at Smithfield Outlets did all the Military sales. You shouldn't have to travel to a dealer. AAFES should be able to coordinate the new bike to be delivered to your local dealer. I was going that route but I found a few dealers able to match the price without the hassle of AAFES sales. Smithfield does just that. Also Augusta HD in GA.
Click on "Inbox" at the top of the HDF page, you have a PM with information that might be of assistance. If you still have trouble contacting someone, PM me with your name and email address and I'll walk over to the AAFES New Car Sales trailer and have one of the salesman pursue it.
I purchased mine last Feb through AAFES and I had no problems. Sent a check to the main office in NY and the bike was assembled and waiting for me when I returned. I do it again!
Thanks for the responses. I will persue it after work today. Gotta get this bike delivered so it can sit in my garage while I am over in the sandbox for six months.
This is what I have from my sales rep: Mili, who has been replaced by someone named Lisa (I believe, can't find her email) with the same last name. I'm not going to post here for privacy sake, but will PM. The rest of this is for everyone's general knowledge.
Check for outstanding balance should be made to Overseas Military Sales Corp. and sent to the following address:
Overseas Military Sales Corp.
100 Crossways Park West
Woodbury, NY 11797-2084
My advice is to use a bank or cashier's check, because they'll post immediately, whereas a personal check takes upwards of 21 days to clear.
You may also wire transfer via:

OMSC Corp.

Reference: Your name and SSN and customer number (looks like a phone number, 10 digits)
I'd also check yellow pages online for alternate/local phone numbers for OMSC in New York, because I never got anything out of the 800 number either. Make sure you have your Factory Order # and VIN when calling them.
Sure hope that helped, also remember the fax # posted yesterday.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Thanks for the info and the feedback. I finally got thru to a person and she talked me through it. I just sent the electronic fund transfer. She said the bike will be built within the week and they will put a rush on it to get it to the dealer so I can take delivery as soon as possible. It looks like it may turn out okay. I can't wait. Yeah I might have it a week or so before I ship out, but it will be a great week.
