That show SUCKS!!! Bring back Build or Bust! Exile is the SHIZZ!!
That show was great OTHER than the jacka$$ Producer, Director or whoever that moron was. If I was trying to build a bike and he was bustin' my nuts the whole time I doubt I'd finish either because I'd spend the majority of my time smashin' his head against the wall.
Don't flatter yourself, with that attitude you wouldn't make it past the screening. With a $20K bike at stake, I could put up with a lot, it wasn't just a build, it was obviously a character test as well. Russel seemed to have a real low threshold for BS. If you admitted up front what you did and didn't know he was helpful. If you lied about your experience and ability, he was on top of you all the way.
Funny, I built my frame in one of the top framebuilders shops. Did a lot of the fab and fit myself, got help from everyone there. Was given keys to the shop so I could work on Sundays. Didn't claim to know more than I did and got respect all around. Build or bust was very close to my experience.

I agree. I saw an episode where Russell really liked the guy's attitude and desire to build the bike and he was running out of time. He hadn't chargedthe battery and Russell was telling everyone to pull the truck in the shop to jump it! Needless to say, They got it started at the last minute and he got the bike! That was one of my favorite episodes.
Jason Pohl as a fabricator!? Come on OCC!! Iwould rather ride a bike my 13 year old daughter built than that Moron!I finally gave up watching the Tetuls last night it is just getting too stupid to even be entertaining.
Jason Pohl, why spend so much time on him fabricatingat all? He belongs behind a computer. Watching him & his dad do nothing but bending & breakingwas a joke. And watchingJr & Mikey destroy doors & ceilings makes me wonder. Is it that they made so much $$$$ (good for them)that they don't care about their shop? I just don't get it. Stupid & boring!

I don't disagree with you there, but what they failed to understand is that people wanted the builders to make it. I couldn't understand why that guy felt the need to try and waste the builder's time with his crap. I think Russell did a great job, but too often the producer guy was simply harrassing the builder in an attempt to discourage and waste build time.
Me personally, I couldn't build a bike in that amount of time even without that jerk, so I wouldn't even attempt to get on the show. But I saw a lot of guys with great skills and ideas just get pounded relentlessly by that fool. The point was to build a bike in the alotted timeframe, not deal with some loose lipped jacka$$.

Thats a good one...I'm laughing so hard, I'm crying
Had an article in cycle world i just read interesting but the article pretty much sums up the fact that they are not here to please the motorcycling people as its a lost cause. I will have to bring the mag home tonight and i will update what it said but talked about high dollar bikes and exposing the bikes to another crowd sorry not for us lol.
I've always liked Jesse, but feel like I have to hide it because of all the commericalization of WCC. If I see one more cage with a Maltese cross on it I'm gonna puke!
