I think it's the light in the photos. The tank is all black & so is the base coat on the tins. When the sun hits the blue flames on the tins they turn purpleish. In the photos the tins take on an almost bluish appearence but in person they look black. Here's a sample out of the sun. I may put flames on the oil tank but I hear it's a job to swap out the tank.
Very nice Softail Bro. The only think I would do is to move the front turn signals down to the forks. On the bars they just tend to clutter things up too much.

I moved mine to forks but was not happy with the look, so I moved 'em back. I think your bike & mine look better on the bars, IMO.
