Anyway, there are things called "sleepers" or "q-cars" in england (after the Q-ships, actually destroyers camouflaged as cargo ships to lure unwary u-boote commanders to their doom).
You take an ordinary or even "depressing" car of the right type, as the Volvo 240 Station Wagon
You put lexan in place of glass, and remove all insonorization and internal unessential parts. Rework the turbo, intake and exhaust, put a solid cage inside, a limited slip diff and from a 3600 pounds - 120 bhp family car you get a 2000 pound - 300 bhp drag racer for maybe 15.000 bucks which looks absolutely ordinary and leaves the average "traffic light drag racer" depressed on his 150.000 $ Porsche

No, but I did have the urge to buy some orange slices, some Capri Sun and go to my kids soccer game. Figured I slap down a few Baggers and maybe a Dyna on my way there.
I might even argue with a referee over a bad call.
