Selling Harleys, I see a lot of people in their 30's, so I wouldn't consider that to be young. Harley is having a problem with the "twenty somethings", they know that and it is discussed every year at the national and regionalmeetings. That's the reason for the new bikes...Rocker, Cross Bones, (unfortuantely the VRod did not attract the crowd they were going after), there is even talk about a bike smaller than the 883 to be Harley's entry level bike
Nice Bike! I'm north of Lebanon and have a black pearl 08 custom (PC III, Rinehart Pipes). Do you ever have people ask you "you're a younger guy, why didn't you get a VROD, Nighttrain..etc.). It seems like people automatically assume the younger guys are either on rice or VRODs.
nice to see someone close! and since im by far the youngest member in the h.o.g. group i always get the weird questions. "why are you on a softail and not a v-rod? why are you on a softail and not a crotch rocket?" i always answer with "i like the quality and tradition of the ride. get a lot of looks when you pull up in a group of bikes and everyones over 35. plus a lot of girls seem to be into a young guy on a new harley
my son was 16 when he got his 2005 883 low. Bought it himself by saving and scrimping. Rode it cross country last year with me, and we'll do it again this summer as one last trip before he goes off to college.
31 and have owned my 06' FXST for going on 3 years. I see a lot of people saying they want to upgrade to a different bike, I love mine. I would rather put money into making mods to this bike and make it as mean as I can, engine upgrades, paintetc... I guess I just knew what I wanted from the get go.
