on a 2007 harley ultra classic the radio turns on when ignition is turned on and the click of the turn signal is heard over the radio speakers any idea why?[>:]
That's a good guess, but I doubt it....the signal has automatic shut-off so knowing it's on is NOT THAT important.
My guess:
The radio volume self-adjusts with the speed of your motorcycle...assuming you are going very slow or at a stand-still when your signal is on, maybe that's why the signal is so much louder than your radio.
Do you mean you can hear it "over" the sound of your speakers?
Or do you mean you can hear it coming "through" your speakers?
If the latter, you may need to check the wiring of the stereo... ensure a good ground. Check to see if it's sharing a circuit (sharing a fuse, etc.) with the turn signal circuit.
I've had interference in car stereos in the past that required installing a filter in-line on the power lead. This sounds like a similar issue.
