I have just visited a job where my guys were working right next to a Harley Dealer today and couldnt resist the urge to go in and have a look then I just caved in it cost me £150 in more parts for the old softail ! I cant go into these places without the wallet coming out and the dealer relieving me of some hard earned cash.
Do any of you just impulse buy or do you plan ahead ? The old ball & chain will go nuts when she spots more parts appearing from no where ! She can spot a freckle on a gnat from 1/2 mile with her sun glasses on
Parts hell! My FatBoy itself was a total impulse buy.
Unlike every other impulse buy I've ever made though, I did NOT suffer from the
standard buyers remorse afterward though.
Never had a single regret
The wife WAS a bit surprised and a tad annoyed that I spent over 20k without discussing it first.
she got over it soon enough though and loves the bike almost as much as I do
my RKC wasnt truly an impulse buy but we had been eating breakfast when she said quit talking about a new harley unless your selling that vette...we went to "order or put a deposit on" and they were uncrating the exact one I was wanting. without all the extra installs like most were adding, so we walked out having put the deposit on the card and went back 3 days later with a check and rode off...[sm=biker2.gif] she then reminded me the vette had to go...per our deal
went in to buy rideing glasses and bought a 2003 883R and then 7months later went in to just shoot the bull and traded for 05 super glide call what you will i call it a habit.

When I feel the impulse urge hit me I usually control it. When I let the urge rule I always save the receipts and give myself a few days to cool down. When my brains catch up with my impulse I know for sure if it's a keeper or a return. Last week I returned a horn cover after second thoughts.
I drive by my local shop every day. Some days I stop and I know it's gonna cost me but oh well.I plan the more expensive things but I don't get in trouble...uh I mean mind buying small things on Impulse.
