RE: which tyre/brand gives the best performance on dry/wet surface?
I used the Avon Venoms for years and they truly are the best tire I've ever had for grip and road feel. Unfortunately between the two bikes I ride 25k-30k miles per year. I can get 15k out of a Dunlop back tire vs 5k out of an Avon, simple economics for me. I don't have any complaints about the grip of other brand tires. I just wish the Avons lasted longer.

I just switched from the stock Dunlops to Metzlers. They feel great and are half the price of the Dunlops. You can only get the Dunlops from a HD dealer over here, so they must mark them up stupid.
My metzlers are made in Germany, although I heard the U.S. has their Metz tires made in Brazil.
RE: which tyre/brand gives the best performance on dry/wet surface?
I use the conteninal milestone on my electraglide. Have never had a problem with traction dry or wet conditions. I ride all year around, 11000 to 12000 miles/yr. Usually get about 11000 out of the rear and most of the time go 2 rear to one front. We do a lot of 2up traveling so I think thats pretty good on tires. Switched from Dunlops because of price and mileage. New Cont=$99.00 New Dunlop= $140.00. The ride is just as good and like I said I've never had a problem with grip.
