Before long, you'll be changing the name of your country to Canuckistan.
Actually we plan on waiting until Quebec separates, get them all the move there, and they'll be Quebecistan.
I'm with you on that, but who's going to drive cabs, work in government jobs?Hell, they've even invaded Microsoft. Sick of talking to someone on the phone that I can't understand.[:@] Ron
This is interesting on trying to bypass another "it's for your own good" law.
I think the key word here is "public" health care. As I understand it, Canadian health care is a "public" paid for entity.
Here in the US, it's primarily a private setup yet the governments are protecting the "PRIVATE" health care providers with these intrusive helmet laws.
I don't really understand how we, the riders, have let these people take over and run our lives? Where do they presume the power to do this?
It is fastly coming a time when we must retake our responsibility and rights back from those that think they are "doing it for our own good".

The Sikh's have been pulling this stuff for years in both the U.S. and Canada. In Canada they took the RCMP to Court and won. Now they wear theirturban instead of thecap that goes with the standard RCMP uniform. I don't have any problem at all with the religion, but sorry, you follow the rules of your Country, Province/State and Employer......or you leave.

I don't see what the big deal is about wearing the Turbin instead of a cap. If they want to wear the turbin let them. It is strange that the Government took them to court.
The "Big Deal" is that our RCMP are known the world over by their uniform, including the stetson hat that they wear. They are part of the image Canada portrays to the world. My relatives in Germany (yes, I was an immigrant) were appalled that the Canadian government would actually let someone wear a turbin instead of the correct headgear, stetson or proper cap, that the Mounties are required wear.
How would you, as Americans feel if someone joined the Marines and then wanted (demanded) to be allowed to wear a turbin instead of the correct headgear ?? A Marine in full dress uniform is also a world known icon, representing America. Now picture him with a turbin on......... just not the same is it ??
The crazy politicians in the UK allowed sikhs to get away with it.
A poor old guy who lived hear for donkeys protested and wore one and was nicked on several occassions.
Religions cause more problems than anything he will get more respect if he respectedthe countryslaws.
If he doesnt like it then heshould pissed off back where he came from.
You could crash test his bandage with his head in it and then **** him off.
As a Canadian this really pisses me off. Our country bends the rules for any immigrant that comes across the border. They get better benefits using the tax money Myself and all Canadians pay. I am not racist but if you want to come to this country, live by the rules, our laws or get the F**K OUT! Thanks to all for letting me vent a little.
What he said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same thing here. Our country is overrun with illegals and we have politicians trying to introduce legislation so they can get driver's licenses and welfare. Guess who pays the bill. They commit crimes and go to prison and guess who pays the bill. They drive unregistered, uninsured vehicles and when they have an accident and hurt someone, guess who pays the bill. Now they are starting to have bi-lingual textbooks in some schools. As for pressing 1 for English, as the Diceman once said "If you can't speak the language, get the f**k out of the country". I'd better stop now I'm really getting pissed.
"his lawyer, as well as Ontario Human Rights Commission lawyers who supported Badesha's fight, said they will study the ruling and determine their next step"
What a crock. All I hear is waah waah waah. Unless your being threatend by a gun or tied to a burning stake or something else along those lines why do you need Human Rights Commission Lawyers?
I don't care what religion it is, I'm tired of a-holes who use God's name (whatever name it is they use) to justify their disobedience of the law. "God" has been used to excuse drug use, child molestation, embezzlement, theft, murder, and outright terrorism. Like I've said before in these forums, I'm not a particularly religious man, but I am a spiritual man and do believe in a supreme creator. And I've got to think that stuff like this really ticks Him off.
