lol Good I wear the mesh weightlifting gloves as well. they are cooler in the summer and like a friend once told me what's the first thing you put down when you fall?.... your hands so lol I laugh at those that think only rubs and posers wear them
I have a pair of fingerless gloves (I think. Last time I asw them they were in my old, brown leather jacket. Dang things are over ten years old now.) If I do indeed still have them I'll wear them up to the heat of summer, but when it gets really hot, and that does happy for quite a bit here in Phoenix, I'll switch back to full fingered to protect my fingers from roasting from the heat of the street. (They sizzle like little sausages. )
Have a pair of HD Red, White, and Blue American Flag fingerless gloves I bought in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have yet to see another pair like them. I race bicycles also and wearing bicycle fingerless gloves is second nature to me. They have saved my hands more times than I can remember. Hope I never have to see what happens to the hands should I have a mishap on the scoot......besides ruining and really nice pair of gloves.
I wore a pair HD fingerless gloves up to last spring, then bought a pair of full finger style that are preforrated on front and back. My hands don't sweat at all even in 90* plus because of the air flow over them. My fingerless gloves make my hands sweat and they stick to my hands, besides I like the extra protection of the full finger
I wear the fingerless style myself. I got a nice pair from work and have been using them since, however they have just about had it and I will be replacing them soon. Sure would be nice if they ordered more of them again.
To me it's like anything else - Do what ya wanna do and don't worry about the other guy - Not wearing gloves is dangerous, fingerless gloves are safer and full gloves protects your hands the best -
If you do decide to go with fingerless gloves make sure they color coordinate with you chaps or they will just look silly!
I wear full finger full-time. I have 4 pairs and wear what works for the weather. I do believe if ever you would go down they would help for sure and the other reason is that any skin I expose to the FL sun burns fast, I have to use spf 60 2 to 3 times a ride and I will not put that on my hands and espect to have grip! same reason you will see me ride with a mesh pull over in the 90+ summer days, 2 types of protection and they both have something to do with burns!!!!!!
When is is hot I have a pair of Power Trip leather and mesh that flow more than enough air.

In the summer on longer rides, I wear fingerless gloves that have a small amount of padding in the palm. To me, they make the ride a little more comfortable. With fingerless gloves, I can still fasten and unfasten my helmet without taking them off. Kind of a convenient feature for quick stops at gas stations.
