I removed my back turn signals from my 1995 Springer softail a week ago, and lost the ability to have front ones blink. I also lost the ability for the brake light to light up when i used the front brake (rear brake still worked right.) Today I put on new drag bars, and took off the front turn signals, and now the brake light is very bright, and the housing seemed to get hotter than normal. I plan on small turn signals in the future, but now I dont want to burn up my wiring. Does all this sound normal ,I am thinking the electrical system needs all the signals for everything to work corect, what do you think???????
Yep, you need a resistor in the circuit. If you have an alarm youâre going to have troubles there also. A friend of mine installed the small LED lights and had to do the same thing.
