I went into a Neiman Marcus a few years ago and they had a plain white t-shirt for sale at $400.00. If the shirt is too expensive for you don't buy it. If more people don't buy them they will lower the price.
Guess I bought 'em at the right time - like decades ago.
Momma laughs at me when I start digging thru the tubs of T's.
I buy 'em when I go to a "new" area. But I am much more selective now, for the same reason RG started this thread.
BTW - we went out to Joe Sensers Sports Bar with RG while he was up here working(?) . Had a GREAT evening, and THANX HDF for the connection. I believe between RG, Peeps, Keystone, NoName, Rizzoand a couple of the guys up on the Northshore, we can have a mini-HDF Mn BBQ B4 this riding season is over. RIGHT, like it has even started. [:'(][:'(]Course, we gonna need some Suthun Gentleman to hustle up here and show us how to BBQ instead of "grill".
I've paid $45 for some shirts that definately aren't HD and that was a good deal for a shirt with a suggested retail of $65. Many shirts are way more expensive. Got a nice sweater my girl bought at Sak's for me, thinking it was like $340 or something, very comfortable though. Wear a plain old wally world T shirt if ya want. They are pretty cheap. If you want something, pay up, if you think something costs too much, don't look at it, maybe it will get cheaper one day.
And they said on the news last week that hookas in New York were so "expensive". Dam news media lying their hinders off, yet, again.
I'll have you know, I ain't no "cheap" date, Rick. I figure if that boy can fly all the way here, he can pay the fiddler if'n he wants to dance.
I used to buy a T shirt from every dealer I stopped at. Now a shot glass or a dealer pin. I remember when the shirts with the dealer names were 10-15 now it is just ****in crazy.
You're showing your age because that was a loooong time ago. I use to do the same thing. Some dealers really put imagination and design creativity into there shirts.
it's hell when they hold a gun to your head to buy a t-shirt. it's your choice you pay that much. why complain you did it to your self. i have never payed over 20 bucks for a t=shirt and 25 for long sleeve.
