dont know what this Dufree thing is either but I have heard it mentioned before
I did have a Duffy once kinda looked like the chick walking up to your bike in the picture

As I recall, going back 40+yrs, Durfee made some fine Girder forks, Gumby is refering to when he got the bike, not his age, He IS an old fart.

DON"T jump on me whaap!!!! 55 and you R right, really not an "ol' fart", just "stale gas".
No Durfee, we thought we had it tracked down to a Smith Bros/Fetrow girder, but I know Donnie, and he said it wasn't one of theirs, so we went back to the drawing board, and we are still drawing. [:-]
It is a '71, and still has the "original" chrome on it. But we can find no distinguishing marks on it other than mth/yr stamped into the bottom of the lower springmount casting.
BTW - I have been looking for over 8 yrs for a HALLCRAFT mechanical mini disc brake, circa '68 -'75 or there abouts. (Note the mounting tabs on lower right side.)
