Called a local MC touring accessory shop today in FTW. They cater to the touring crowd. Thank god I didn't drive 45 miles out there without calling. I was looking for a Tech Mount or Ram Mount. The guy on the phone tells me they don't carry anything like that because they are cheaper online than he can sell them. GO FIGURE!!! I can probably buy anything in his shop cheaper on line. Does this make any sense or is it me. I have no reason to call them again.
Inventory is a bitch and expensive and if i put it on the shelf for $20 and all the people on line are selling it for $15 and free shipping where you going to buy it.
We are becoming more and more a society like that. Only time we buy local is when we want it today and then we get pissed if they have to order it because we wanted it now today damit.
Buisness no matter how big cant stock everything and especially the things with low profit margins.....
You found a shop where the guy was honest with you, and you're complaining about that??? I'd give the guy my business on that basis even if he WAS a wee bit higher.
In fact... I do that regularly with a local shop just for the sake of supporting a good AND local, shop!
