RainX was developed for use on plastic aircraft windshields due to no wiper blades. If your windshield is hazing it's because you are not polishing the RainX enough when applying. I've got 66K on my bike and the windshieldis clear. I'd bet a nickel that H-D protectant is furnished by RainX.
RAIN X has acitone in it that will haze the windshield, you need to us products that are syilicone based, such as pledge... that will RUIN your windshield
Here's a product I pulled up Googling around. Rain Clear glass cleaner and rain repellent; "Use it on your bike's faring and windshield in case you run into an unexpected shower".
"Rain-X should not be used on plastic windshields or Plexiglas windows. It can cause permanent clouding and damage. First and foremost use common sense when applying this product,"
