Sanford looks good...did you do the epoxy floor yourself and how do you like it?
Thanks Justa5o, yes I did the floor. One caot of two part epoxy followed by a coat of clear. It has held good for about two years now and I'm not real easy on it either. Hear's a more reasnt picture, as you can see it's a lot more cluttered than the first one.
With the help of my best buddy "Smooth Eddie" in Dallas we went through my garage and made it a very cool place to hang out, work on the bikes and just kick back with a cold beer with our Harley riding pals. Even got in a Magazine called "Ultimate Garages".
Man! always enjoy the pics of the garages (this and earlier threads). Gonna redo all our clutter into a nice arrangement once my "51 Chevy p/u restoration is done in a couple of weeks.
Presently the stuff crammed in 3 bays plus a storage notch in front of one bayis:
*Bend-Pak four post car and truck lift,
*MIG welder, plasma cutter and roll-around welding/cutting table,
*Metal bending brake,
*Lots of woodworking machines,
*Work bench, desk, roll-around tool chest,
*Kayaks,
*Lots of free standing shelving units,
*Big air compressor and air tools,
*Four bicycles,
*Engine hoist and other jacks,
*3 autos and the Ultra
It all fits, somehow! I think the trick to make it comfy and to get more free floor space is going to be more wall mounted shelving up high around the whole perimeter and a few other wall space innovations. Either that or buy a bigger garage withan attached house!

my garage is only 24x24, but i have to additions on it 1 on either side. 1 to store outdoor crap 14x16 and 1 to store like building tools, carpentry stuff ext.. that one is 12x16...this way the only thing in the garage is mech tools and benches, then across the back wall i have a work bench thats 3 foot deep x24', with vise and grinders and all that stuff...you can build motors or whatever on it...above that, across the whole wall i have 2 shelves for parts and misc stuff and its all out of the way...on my 1 side wall is my tool chest, and regular shelving with bins that holds all my nuts, bolts and all small parts, and a haz mat cab with paint and all that other stuff...an air compressor then i have a 50' hose reel mounted in the ceiling along with drop lights everywhere...under my work bench i keep all my jacks anf lifts and wet vac an stuff...on the 2nd wall is just a wall mounted tv and phone with an intercom that goes to the house, some more cabinets, fridge, ect...point is, keep the floor space clear and no matter what size garage u have, it will always look open
The problem with my garage is dust! I keep a nice clean garage with floors mopped clean enough that you can eat off of them. I live on 6 miles of Vermont dirt road. Whenthe cars are brought in, particularly this time of year dripping with mud, and you let it dry to sweep the fllors before mopping the dust is in every corner? I even put in a filtering system that exhaust to the outsidebut it doesn't do much. How do you guys keeps those garages dust free....I know, Move to pavementRight!!
