Who cares -at least someone is helping financially support the site and keep it up and running. And don't forget lots of Harley folks started out on - God forbid - I say it- Hondas. I love my HD but I still use and maintain 2 Honda Rebels as trainers in my riding school. UNfortunately HD has never seen fit to make a really small bike that is great to train new riders on.
The Google ads that are so prominently placed above paying sponsors of this site pick up on words in the bodies of posts and serve ads accordingly.
For example, here's an article about the producer of Easy Rider killing himself -> http://www.brainbucketmag.com/News/article/sid=3398.html The Google ads (not paid sponsorship, so you may need to refresh the page a couple of times to see it work) will show ads for casket companies and sympathy baskets. While this article about Amsoil -> http://www.brainbucketmag.com/News/a.../sid=3292.html shows ads for motorcycle products and lubricants.
That's the way Google serves ads. If you want to see who is sponsoring HDF, then visit the sponsor page for a list of companies that are paying HDF specifically to show their ads, vice companies that are paying Google to show their ads on pages that are relevant to the ad itself.
That is not correct. We did not sell an ad to Honda. The banner at the very top of the page is for our sponsors. The ads just below the main menu are google ads.
