I have to agree with the fact that your freinds shirt was the cause of this. I dont see where a goatee had anything to do with it. Glad to hear he came out of it ok though 3 to 1 could be far worse then what you described.
Iseepeople dress/ actthe part of being ruff and tuff, remember probablyacting the same in my earlier "formulative years". Maturization process, some get it, some don't. It takes a lot for me to react at aphysical level, not because I'm scared, but because it isn't worth it to me. That crap where two or three well timed punches and the other guy's out cold... they rehearse those sceneson TV.The guy that got in the scrap with the three other guys, looking back, I bet hecould maybe figure out some point in the interaction where he might have been able to back off before he got his teeth handed to him. And maybe even with some pride left.
Itjust might be your time for the chit wheelbarrow to dump on you, but I think (and it's just MHO) a lot of BS could be avoided by considering what's the end result before you speak or act. There's always someone out there who will gladly tear your meathouse down for you.
M/C mentality is club mentality. Several support clubs in my area and one dominate M/C. They don't seem to go out of their way to start trouble but they have the potential at any time. The only advice I can give someone about m/c's is to remember they are family and you are not. Even if you win a confrontation you would still lose eventually. I would not wear anyone's support shirt. That is a suckers bet. You don't belong to the club and all you did was purchase a shirt. I wouldn't think you are cool---I would think you are a dumba-- or a want to be.
Being the smartass that I am, I once made a "gay joke" about a typical Harley riding 1 percenter looking guyat a local bar while shooting a game of pool. Everyone around thought it was pretty funny, except the little biker guy. He kind of looked like a mean Willie Nelson.
Anyway, the guy begins to mutter to himself, pace around the table, and announce he needs to "get some air". His friend follows him and they return in 5 minutes. Naturally, I apologize since it seem to upset him so, then intentionally shot in the 8 ball so I could get my *** out of there.
My brother was in one of the big MC clubs and gave me a support shirt but I never wore it for this reason. Ifigured it wasn't worth the potential trouble it could cause, the same way I feel about joining a club. To each his own but do I really need to fight, watch my back, etc becausesomeone is in a different club than me?Jeez, get over it. Anyway, lesson learned, most trouble can be avoided if you think a little bit ahead. I can see that to some uninformed people the MC club thing is more like a game, like the doof clenas gang, or a sports team choice where you wear you fav team's colors, but as this thread proves there are people who take it deadly serious.
What's wrong Marty, missing some teeth yourself? Go play with your cute little doggy!
Hahahahahahaha!!!!!NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!!!
Nah. Working for over 20 years in a State Prison has taught me that filthy criminals should'nt be admired.
I know that they choose that life and I know that not all of them are really criminals. But to threaten,or beat, a man over what he's wearing makes them no different than Crips or Bloods or EME etc........
And even afterall these years I still have all my teeth. how about that?

I never really thought of CA as a place to get your butt kicked. Always that Pretty People image you guys have but, LA is pretty rough come to think of it. Sometimes a subtle change to one's self is a way in your own mind to make a change you've been wanting to for some time. Unfortunate that it happened the way it did but, maybe another road to recovery for your friend in his mind. I mean it with the utmost respect to you and your friend.
