I'm just still trying to figure out why anyone would wear support type paraphanalia. Exactly what are you supporting....this type of behavior?

well i think he did not tell the whole story......i bet quit a few words were exchanged and he thought he was a bad ***,but then got his *** whooped.. plain and simple you don't wear/fly colors unless you are ready to defend it....and those colors if they hit the ground you better be wearing them.
What difference does it really make? 3 cowardly bullies beat up one guy... over a stupid t-shirt.

I don't care if the 1 guy was just as stupid and was mouthing off to the three guys - it was still THREE thugs "proving their manood" by beating up one guy.

Even if they picked one of the three to go one on one with the other guy, it's still just a friggin' T-shirt! Or, let's assume worst case, that he mouthed off to them without any provocation... they still should have walked away. That's what rational human beings do.

Let me ask you something, do you whoop anyone's *** who says something you don't like? Didn't think so.

1st, Your friend should know where he is. 2nd, I have respect for him, if he supports an MC and got his *** kicked over supporting that MC (purley) and not an alternate reason, then I'd let him stand beside me. 3rd, Sounds like your friend lost some heart in this altercation, that's to bad.

As far as dogboy is concerned: If it takes criminals to be considered a brotherhood/family, then so be it. You live in your little HOG chapter world and get your 10% off parts/ accessories on nice sunny days.

Maybe your friend could hang with Nomad X and get educated.

Exactly, and all of this allegedly took place at a "meeting" where there is supposedly a "fellowship" in the works.

...wonder'n if he still supports MC's now. I got no timefor MC's or a support shirt wearing wannabe.A street fight has no rules, so forget3 on 1, he's lucky he wasn't knifed or worse.

Guys who try so hard to look hardoften get what's coming to 'em anyway, the whole tough guy show only works on grandmas orlife long pussies.

sldavis--it looks like you are asking me this question. If so, I've responded in favor of two comments on this thread. The first wasbasically to know your limits. I think men and woman show greater strength of character, and wisdom, when they realize it's time to stop--need to weigh the gain against the cost--simple. This is true of almost anything in life--choose wisely the 'battles' we fight in the first place, then know when the battle is done and move on.The second comment was in favor of a post that pointed out that bad elements are everywhere, and that to generalize M/C clubs consist exclusively of criminals is narrow minded--these types of generalizationsare ignorant. There is good and badin people, and their organizations, weather it be M/C clubs, religion, big business, or government. I look at the organizations we're are supposed to trust the most, and this is often where we find themost extreme forms of corruption--lying, cheating, perversion, and stealing on a colossal scale. These are also the forms of corruption thathave the mostdirectimpact on my family and me.If I see a guy with a club patch, Iinstantly understand certain things. He's being very clearthat hesupports his organization.Seems pretty straight forward to me. I watch Bush and friends, and other politicians, and can't trust what's said--always hidden agendas that serve personal interests at extraordinary public expense, and at the cost of the lives of the young men and women honorably serving our country. And big business obviously hasa bottom line profit incentive, and adollar value placed on human life--hum, gas prices and oil company profits come to mind (honest and fairprofits[sm=confused06.gif]?), and I don't think I'd want to find myself on the expendable side of the price-for-a-human life equation. I feel FAR more threatened by the latter two than by any one wearing a club shirt or patch. Now if I were wearing one of my own, that would also mean certain things, wouldn't it.Choiceshave consequences, but personal choices are ours to make. I have more of a problem with corrupt behavior that impacts me, whereI have little or no choice. And my choice is something I'll defend.

Okay some folks have a lot of heated opinions on the subject and, I certainly understand that.

Lets go over some of the basics here.

For many, many years the "outlaw" element was what supported H-D sales. When the "baby boomers" aged a little and had some money, many went out and bought a Harley. Why is that? Prolly to buy into the "bad azz" image (which BTW is supported by H-D).

Now, a lot of folks seem to think that the MCs sorta "died out" somewhere along the way. Well that did not happen. When you buy an H-D and, go out acting like a "biker" you are participating in a lifestyle that has inherent risk (to one degree or another, depending on your level of involvement). It is a culture that most folks just simply don't understand.

I am not saying if it is right or wrong. It is what it is and has been for over 60 years. That doesn't mean that you have to be involved in it. It means that you should be aware of it though. More importantly, if you do not want to be a part of it - don't play with it. If you do want to be a part of it, understand the level of commitment and associated risk that comes with it.

anubiss - I'm really sorry about what happened to your friend. It must really be an eye opener for both him and you but, his goatee wasn't the issue. A support shirt is EXACTLTY THAT. It shows that you support that particular MC, and the money spent on the purchase went into that MCs treasury.

If you do indeed support a specific MC then you will already know the appropriate circumstances under which you wear the shirt (hint; AA or NA meetings aren't it).

This isn't posted to offer any opinion about any Mc one way or the other. I have my own opinions, and keep them to myself. I will stand up for them when needed. I will offer this advice which has served me well over the years. "Keep your legs close together, drink a lot of ice water and, never speak above a whisper"

.............. Jim

Simple answer = get a CWP and kill the next MFer's that try this stooooopid crap again.

But real answer is be aware of your situation first, and look for a quick exit when needed.
Whenever I hear of these things I always wonder if they got caught or even reported, because
if not they are "free" to keep doing to others and this is even more of a crime imho.....
