Update on Dustin. This morning he was moved out of intensive care and into a private room. He is doing very well! The occupational therapist is working on his motor skills and everyday activities to make sure his brain is functioning as it should. They will do that again tomorrow, but Dustin did good today. He has a bad headache yet which they give him meds for. But he is doing good otherwise. His food stayed down today and he is using the bathroom on his own again. If everything tests out good tomorrow they will let Dustin go home in the afternoon![sm=happybounce.gif] He tires easily yet but is doing great!!!! He read through this today and was thrilled to see all the comments and support. THANK YOU!!!!! About his friend, Kyle. Kyle got his breathing tube out today and they are letting him come out of his sedation meds. Hopefully by now kyle is talking but I haven't heard lately. Kyle had about the same brain injuries but the Cat scans show there is no more bleeding. Kyle had a breathing tube because he had a lot of facial gashes that required surgery. He was medicated for the pain and needed the tube to help breathe. When they let him come to, he would fight the tubes so bad and try to pull them out, so they put him back under. Having the tube out of his throat will help alot! That's all for now.
We will udate again tomorrow. Keep the prayers and encouragement coming! We all appreciate it! --Dustin's Mom
