Where to get a 2" 5/8 fine threaded stud?

Default Where to get a 2" 5/8 fine threaded stud?
I just got back from Home Depot trying to find this and they didn't have it. Is there somewhere on the net I can order this from? it is for attaching my windshiled to. Thanks. It is not a harley part. I have been to the stealer as well and what they ordered me was the wrong thing.

If you have any machine shops in the area they should be able to set you up no problem.

Got any tools? Hacksaw,vise and a file? If so just buy a 2 1/2 x5/8 fine thread bolt and cut the head of the bolt off and file down the end you sawed off so the threads are clean. voila! you now have a 2' fine thread 5/8 stud.[:-]

Our local farm supply carrys NF all thread. Don't have a clue what farmers need fine thread for but the store carries it.

As above, farm supplies are good for this kind of thing. Also check a small hardware store, rather than one of the big box ones.

There is a McMaster Carr in Santa Fe Springs, not too far from you. They will have it. They have everything, and it's always in stock too.http://www.mcmaster.com/

McMaster-Carr or go to a good harware store and cut a bolt like said before.

2nd on McMaster Carr they have every thing we get all the hardware at work from them. Also as said above a small hardware store. I used to work at the local hardware store and they tend to have small specialty stuff like that.

Do you have Orchard Supply Hardware store done there?Thats a good place to look and the may even have some lengths of all thread that can be cut.
